Mission

  LGBT youth frequently struggle with the stigma against the community, the stress of figuring out their sexuality or gender, or being accepted in their environment. Our mission is to educate others about how the lives of LGBT youth are affected by prejudice and other prominent issues in the community.

The
Issue

Many LGBT youth do not have the resources to feel comfortable in their own skin or the support they need to feel safe. Discrimination and subtle homophobia/ transphobia from their peers and family is often the reason for LGBT youth feeling unsafe in their own environments. According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), 34% of LGBT students have been bullied in school and 28% have been bullied online. We aim to educate others on the oppression LGBT youth face in order for more them to feel more empowered and supported in their own spaces.
